Get involvedWe are a lean, ambitious charity. We keep costs to a minimum so that your contribution goes a long way to helping beat Duchenne muscular dystrophy
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey: Sunday 16 August 2020
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.
With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

Thank you to our tireless supporters, who have walked, run, cycled, performed and tested their endurance to help us beat Duchenne. We can’t do it without you.
Other ways you can support us:
Set up a fundraising page
Are you taking on a courageous challenge or a monumental marathon? Set up a fundraising page to raise money for the Duchenne Research Fund, and help fund vital research into treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
We are registered on both Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving, where all our details and information about the projects we support are easily visible for your donors to see. Although both sites charge us a small fee, they handle the payment processing and Gift Aid contributions and then deposit the funds directly into our bank account, so they do save us administrative time and costs. Virgin Money Giving charges us less than Just Giving. If you need help setting up your page, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Match fund all your donations
Does your company match fund employees’ donations? If so, you could double the amount we receive every time you donate to us. Find out if your employer has a match funding programme, and if they don’t, suggest they set one up.
Nominate us as your company charity
Do you work for a company that supports charitable organisations? Let us know – we would love to be your chosen charity.
Give a gift to your hosts
Are you visiting friends or family for a meal? Consider making a donation to the Duchenne Research Fund in lieu of taking a gift for your hosts.
You will soon be able to download a card to give to your hosts, to show that you have donated in lieu of bringing a gift. Not only will you be supporting vital medical research, you will be helping us raise awareness of Duchenne as well. Check back here in the coming days to download your card.
Make a donation
There are many ways you can support the Duchenne Research Fund, via a one-off donation, by standing order, or through Payroll Giving. Visit our Donate page to find out more.
Apply for a grant
If you are a researcher with a project proposal to help tackle Duchenne muscular dystrophy, please get in touch via research [at] duchenne.org.uk to find out more about applying for a grant.
We aim to stop Duchenne muscular dystrophy being a death sentence for hundreds of thousands of boys worldwide.
We are helping turn the hope of treatments into reality. Critical treatments are in clinical trial thanks to our funds.
In the last 4 years we have given more than £3m to ground-breaking research projects.
And there is still work to do.
